Opunake Mornings 11/03/2012

 At this stage of the morning the tide is very
low and the water very calm. Looking down to Middleton Bay where very unusually there is boating action on the ramp.

 

 Looking towards New Plymouth flat calm as far as the eye can see

 Amazing clouds around the ranges and Mt Taranaki this morning.

 I have never seen this break looking towards Wellington with NO ripple forming over it - the combination of the extreme low tide and the calm sea.

 The clouds moving around the mountain - I am posting extra images of these at the bottom of the walk post.

 Opunake Main Beach with the plug pulled.

The wind vein just starting to work for the day.

The mountain walking around the point this morning and from our back door - all in a little over an hour.
