Opunake Mornings 08/07/2012

Crystal clear morning 4.5 C when we left home at 7am. Not a speck of cloud around the Mt or The Ranges.

A new stile on the walkway - gradual upgrades happening all the time. Great job for everyone's' pleasure.

Opunake Main Beach

Tides are really low at present
The break water looking unusually exposed

A rare clear treat.

Down the coast to Wellington
Perfect 'Naki' morning.

Up the coast to New Plymouth

No sign of them now, but when we came past at 7am there were two keen fishing crews launching from here. What a great day to go fishing.

Middleton Bay has 'grown' a lot of rock with the recent big swells moving the sand away. Today that is supplemented by a lot of kelp being washed up.

A totally crispy white frost this morning. No action from the wind vein as it is dead calm as yet. Rug up it is cold.
