Opunake Mornings 05/08/2012

Well it is a lovely mild morning today - feels truly like Spring. The dogs and I did a run - so the pictures today are in a different sequence and start at the far point beyond the Cottage Rest Home where the Waiaua River comes out to the ocean.
This was day break at the river mouth

Down the coast to Wellington

 Looking into Opunake Main Beach at a very low tide.

Finally the sky starting to colour up over Mt Taranaki and the Ranges.

Sunrise reflecting out to sea. Very striking effect. 

My favourite palette so subdued and subtle.

Up the coast to New Plymouth

Dead flat sea today so of course the fishermen are out early to enjoy it.  Middleton Bay filling up with boat trailers.

Couldn't really be much calmer.
