Opunake Mornings 22/01/2013

There is a first time for everything and this is the first time this season that I have seen a yacht off Middleton Bay, enjoying a lazy breeze but a calmer ocean than there has been for the last few days.

My favourite thing to salute in the mornings is this adult Mollymawk that is guarding their nest down below on the cliff - always there, always alert, a true model parent. Us humans could all learn from this example about the preciousness of new life.
