7.15am at Middleton BAy for the start of the duck shooting season. Lately when I have been swimming here at this time of day there have been frequent formations of ducks and geese flying over head but not a single one this morning - I am sure they know when they need to go to ground to stay alive. Good luck birds, hunters - trade your guns for binoculars and start looking at the world with a longer term vision.
