Layer on layer on layer of textural shifting and merging. Vertical intersections into the textures of the more horizontally aligned layers. History captured and recorded. No easy un-coding of the record - there needs to be a back story to the narrative in the cutting to have insight into the depths of its messages. Some people will know what this story means in great depth but most will be like me, only have very shallow inklings of what the meanings are in what I see. I love this way of telling a story - of building the layers of meaning so each is incremental in creating a monument to the passage of experience. So inspirational for my own making practice.
