An unexpected benefit of living here - when there is a heavy shower of rain our front entrance turns into a reflective surface doubling as a foot wash. Some days when it is really wet it is impossible to leave without filling your shoes with water - it is an unusual thing to have. Even though it can provide beautiful reflections it truely is something I need fixed. It is not something I am prepared to embrace as a sensible solution. This is the fourth year I have lived here and I have tried being reconciled to it as a nice natural landscape but have now decided that enough is enough.
